Marco is een getalenteerde Amerikaanse kunststudent die in Londen woont. Hij is bevriend met de 19-jarige Timothy, een student medicijnen die ook artistieke talenten heeft. Timothy heeft in het geheim gevoelens voor Marco's vriendin Sarah. Ondertussen valt Timothy's gescheiden moeder Carol voor Marco.
