Drie internaatstudenten brengen samen met de dochter van een socialistische lerares de zomer voor hun eindexamen door in een Zuid-Frans provinciestadje. Op grond van de verschillen in seksuele en politieke voorkeuren komt het tussen de vier tot pijnlijke confrontaties.
