Na een mislukt huwlijk probeert Charlene in LA een nieuw leven op te bouwen. Ze laat haar haren blonderen en geeft ook haar borsten een nieuwe look. Volledig van gedaante veranderd, gaat Charlene samen met haar zus Louise op bezoek bij een waarzegster die Charlene vertelt dat ze pas geluk en rijkdom zal vinden als ze huwt met een doktor die Steven heet. Hals over kop begint Charlene aan een veroveringstocht die haar leven ingrijpend veranderd.
