Carrie Harlech is een schaatser die agressief wordt getraind door haar no-nonsense moeder. Ze heeft het talent, maar mist het vertrouwen om te winnen. Wanneer haar nieuwe coach haar koppelt aan de knappe ex-hockeyspeler Peter, vindt Carrie de liefde en inspiratie om door te zetten.
