In een geheim laboratorium worden twee vreemde formules gestolen door twee onhandige criminelen. Het gestolen goed wordt verstopt in een speelgoeddoos. Hiermee komt het dertienjarige jochie Chad per ongeluk in aanraking. Met als gevolg dat zijn hond, Abner, onzichtbaar wordt.
