Thiola Rayfield (Dolly Parton), bij haar fans bekend als "Big T", trekt met haar band langs de weg van café naar café om op te treden. Zij ontmoet Justice Hayden Parker (Gary Busey) en valt voor de louche clubeigenaar. Wanneer blijkt dat Justice een slechte invloed op "T" heeft en haar meesleurt in een spiraal van geweld, doen haar bandleden hun uiterste best om Thiola ervan te overtuigen dat zij Justice moet laten schieten.
