Plot

Een meisje (Tuesday Weld) wil dolgraag de blits maken op een rock 'n roll feest op school en daarvoor heeft ze volgens haar net die ene mooie, maar dure jurk nodig. Ze zet alles op alles om genoeg geld bij elkaar te krijgen om het te kopen. Ondertussen kijken zij en haar vrienden naar het televisie programma van disc jockey Alan Freed waarin oa Chuck Berry optreedt.
