Alex gaat in therapie, en onthult dat hij een huurmoordenaar is. Hij vertelt de dokter na een paar sessies eveneens dat hij zich aangetrokken voelt tot een jonge vrouw die hij in de wachtruimte ontmoet heeft. De vrouw heet Sarah, is 23, en voelt zich eveneens aangetrokken tot hem. Alex is echter getrouwd. Via flashbacks zien we vervolgens zijn leven als moordenaar.
