De beroemde wetenschapper Peers heeft een brandstof ontwikkeld die een nieuwe betekenis zou kunnen geven aan de ruimtevaart. Zijn assistent Bargher heeft hem geholpen en de testresultaten zullen worden aangekondigd op een conferentie in Genève. Dit wekt natuurlijk de interesse van een aantal misdaadorganisaties en die proberen professor Peers te ontvoeren.
