Kiyoha wordt als kind aan het Tamagikuya bordeel verkocht en vindt het er verschrikkelijk. Ze groeit op onder de hoede van oiran Shohi, Later wordt Kiyoha de meest gevraagde prostituee van het bordeel en ze raakt verliefd op Sojiro, een van haar klanten. Ze loopt weg om bij Sojiro te zijn, maar wordt gegrepen door Seiji, de bewaker van het bordeel. Na de plotselinge dood van oiran Shohi wordt Kiyoha haar opvolgster. Dan vraagt een vooraanstaande samourai haar ten huwelijk...
