Alex, een typische New Yorker, wordt voor een project naar Las Vegas gestuurd. Daar ontmoet hij per toeval Isabel, een trotse Latijns-Amerikaanse die geloof in de kracht van het lot en bestemming. Geen van beide had enig idee wat hun hartstochtelijke one-night-stand teweeg zou kunnen brengen. Totdat Isabel na drie maanden aanklopt bij Alex: ze is namelijk... zwanger!
