De film gaat over de ontluikende liefde tussen Annie Burroughs (Cates), net van school, en de knappe dokter David (Wass). Hij bespeelt haar gevoelens zo teder, dat een ouverture van bloeiende liefde en passie door haar hard trilt. Er is echter één pijnlijke schaduwzijde: David is al verloofd met Annie's zus Marsha (Bellwood)...
