Drie studenten doen, als schoolproject, een proef over roddel: ze verspreiden het gerucht dat een meisje verkracht is door haar vriend, om te zien hoe lang het duurt voordat het gerucht zich heeft verspreid. Het meisje kan zich echter niets meer herinneren van de betreffende avond, en gelooft het gerucht.
