Hotel manager Robert Grant ziet zich genoodzaakt zijn gezinsvakantie uit te stellen wanneer een hotel criticus incheckt. Maar wie men aanziet voor de criticus is in werkelijkheid een misdadig juwelendief. Deze heeft een orang-oetan als assistent, Dunston. Wanneer Dunston het zoontje van manager Grant ontmoet en probeert te ontsnappen aan zijn gedwongen misdaadleven veroorzaakt hij totale chaos in het hotel.
