Biografische film over Darby Crash en zijn band The Germs. We zien hoe Darby de band en haar concept in 1975 opzet, tot grote populariteit weet te stuwen eind jaren '70, tot aan Darby's dood in 1980. Tegen de achtergrond van dit verhaal speelt de opkomst van de muziekstroming punkrock in Amerika en de opkomst van hardcore.
