Byron (Andy Garcia) is een wanhopige schrijver, een familieman, die wordt aangenomen door de eigenaar Luther (Mick Jagger) van een luxe gigolo escortbureau. Tijdens het werk merkt de schrijver dat zijn leven heel erg lijkt op die van een prachtige maar eenzame vrouw Andrea (Olivia Williams), die met één van de meest bekende en beroemde schrijvers van de wereld is getrouwd.
