De regels van "75" zijn simpel: bel een willekeurig iemand op en probeer die in 75 seconden zo bang mogelijk te maken. Hangt diegene op dan verlies je! Na de eindexamens wordt een groep studenten die zichzelf The Crew noemt uitgenodigd in een verlaten landhuis door een rijke medestudent. Wat een weekend vol feest, drank en ontspanning had moeten worden verandert snel wanneer iemand tijdens het spel 75 de verkeerde persoon aan het schrikken maakt. Nu is niemand meer veilig! De feestgangers proberen angstvallig hun lot te ontlopen. Ondertussen ontdekt een detective een zorgwekkend verband tussen een serie gruwelijke hakbijlmoorden van 10 jaar geleden en het spel 75. Het blijkt dat The Crew de enige overlevenden zijn van een uit de hand gelopen 75 spel uit hun jeugd.
