Daniel is een zanger die als een eendagsvlieg wordt beschouwd. Na een mislukte zelfmoordpoging belandt hij op de gesloten afdeling van een psychiatrisch ziekenhuis. Hij mag pas weg als hij een depressieve groep medepatiënten blij heeft gemaakt met zijn gezang.
