Het leven van computerhacker Will Farner wordt ondersteboven gegooid nadat hij in een online terroristen-aanval spel het opneemt tegen overheidssupercomputer Ripley. Ripley werd ontworpen om potentiële terroristen op te sporen. Voor Will breekt de hel los wanneer blijkt dat de overheid achter hem aanzit voor terrorisme.
