Amanda, een werknemer in een luxe kledingwinkel, leidt een relatief eenzaam en onopvallend leven. Dit alles verandert wanneer een buitenaards wezen dat in een geheime militaire installatie wordt vastgehouden, ontsnapt door het lichaam van een van de basismedewerkers over te nemen. Amanda vindt de voortvluchtige alien en besluit hem te helpen zich te verbergen voor de overheidsagenten die hem achtervolgen, een ogenschijnlijk gemakkelijke taak, aangezien de alien om de paar dagen van gastlichaam moet wisselen.
