Abbie Bladecut is een tiener die verscheurd wordt tussen de macabere tradities van de bloedige handel van haar familie en de tedere roerselen van haar eerste verliefdheid. In het kleine stadje Clover Falls heeft Abbie's vader Roger een beruchte erfenis opgebouwd door echte moorden op band vast te leggen en deze te verkopen aan enthousiaste klanten, maar naarmate Abbie dieper in het gruwelijke familiebedrijf duikt, begint ze zich af te vragen of het tijd is om de familietraditie in een nieuwe richting te sturen.
