P.C. Simpson is een macho type met een grote hartstocht voor het branding surfen. Hij heeft alles wat hij zich maar kan wensen, een leuke vriendin, is populair en heeft een rijke vader die het hem mogelijk maakt om deel te nemen aan het landskampioenschap van deze sport. Tijdens de race wordt hij echter aangevallen door een haai, en verliest hierdoor de wedstrijd, en ook zijn zelfvertrouwen krijgt een flinke deuk. Onder druk van zijn vader en vrienden gaat hij harder trainen om toch de titel te veroveren.
Nee, helaas is Windrider nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
