Terri Hooley is een radicale en rebelse muziekliefhebber uit de jaren '70 wanneer in Belfast een bloedig conflict ontstaat. Terwijl zijn vrienden zich storten in het oorlogsgeweld, kiest Terri ervoor om een platenzaak te openen op de meest gebombardeerde plek van de stad, genaamd Good Vibrations.
