Yatora is de perfecte middelbare scholier, met goede cijfers en veel vrienden. Het is een moeiteloze prestatie, en uiteindelijk... saai. Maar op een dag loopt hij de kunstkamer binnen, en een eenzaam schilderij trekt zijn aandacht en maakt hem wakker voor een soort schoonheid die hij nooit heeft gekend. Gedwongen en verteerd duikt hij erin – en hij staat op het punt te leren hoe wreed en meedogenloos kunst kan zijn!
