De winkelbediende Matthew mengt zich als grote fan in het leven van de beloftevolle muzikant Oliver. Hoe meer tijd hij doorbrengt met Oliver hoe meer hij een obsessie voor de man ontwikkelt. Wanneer zijn nabije positie in gevaar komt maakt Matthew gebruik van machtsspelletjes en drastische maatregelen om deze te behouden. Voor hem betekent het zelfs een kwestie van leven en dood.
