Pip is een wees die een ongelukkige jeugd heeft gehad. De armoede en ellende werden af en toe onderbroken door zijn bezoeken aan de mysterieuze Mrs. Havisham en haar beschermelinge Estella. Ook helpt hij een misdadiger die op de vlucht is. Als Pip later in Londen woont krijgt hij financïele steun van een onbekende man. Het verleden wil hem echter maar niet loslaten.
Nee, helaas is Great Expectations nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
