De film vertelt het verhaal van de rockzanger Pink, die alleen nog maar op kan treden met de hulp van drugs. We volgen Pink tijdens zijn jeugd en zijn schooltijd, waarin hij langzaam een muur om zich heen bouwt om zich te beschermen tegen de buitenwereld.
