De Arabieren, die in het eerste deel niet wonnen, willen een nieuwe kans, maar er is geen race dit jaar. Daarom organiseren zijzelf een nieuwe race om een miljoen dollar. Iedereen doet weer mee: J.J. en Captain Chaos, de snelle auto meiden, de gokkers verkleed als politiemannen en de Japanners met hun superauto. Nieuw deze keer zijn een stel gekken met een aap als bestuurder. Maar voor de finish ook maar in zicht is, zijn er heel wat moeilijkheden te overwinnen. Zo wordt de Sheik gekidnapt door een bende uit Las Vegas.
Nee, helaas is Cannonball Run II nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
