Keulen, 1975. Tiener Vera Brandes begint al op jonge leeftijd met het produceren en promoten van muziekconcerten. Er staat een groot optreden van jazzpianist Keith Jarrett op de planning, maar door de eindeloze reeks aan onvoorziene problemen zit het haar tijdens de voorbereidingen bepaald niet mee. Toch blijft Vera geloven in de kracht van muziek en zet ze alles op het spel om het grootste soloconcert in de geschiedenis van jazzmuziek te laten plaatsvinden.
