Na de moord op de koning van Thessalië door Pelias, overleeft alleen de zoon van de koning, Jason, die nog een kind is. Jaren later, als Jason volwassen is, krijgt hij van de goden te horen dat hij voorbeschikt is de troon terug te nemen, en dat hij daartoe het gulden vlies moet gaan halen in Colchis.
Nee, helaas is Jason and the Argonauts nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
