Priesters Tim Farley en Deacon Mark Dolson bouwen langzamerhand een vriendschap met elkaar op. Dolson leert hem weer hoe Farley vroeger als priester zelf was. Als Dolson dan beschuldigd wordt van het misbruiken van mannelijke leerlingen, moet Farley het geloof en Dolson zien te verdedigen.
