Kara Zor-El, ook bekend als Supergirl, gehard door trauma en tragedie, viert haar 21e verjaardag ver van de aarde aan boord van een ruimteschip met Krypto, haar trouwe superhond. Wanneer een jong buitenaards meisje genaamd Ruthye Marye Knoll, wiens vader op brute wijze is vermoord, Supergirl om hulp vraagt bij het opsporen van de moordenaar, beginnen de twee aan een zoektocht door verre werelden. Supergirl, die onder een rode zon haar krachten kwijt is, moet vertrouwen op haar doorzettingsvermogen, medeleven en verstand om Ruthye op weg te helpen naar wraak en gerechtigheid, waarbij ze uiteindelijk geconfronteerd wordt met de aard van geweld en macht.
Nee, helaas is Supergirl nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
