De carrière van de 25-jarige Max lijkt goed op weg te zijn. Hij is freelanceschrijver en zijn droom om een debuutroman te schrijven komt steeds dichterbij. Maar ’s nachts leidt hij een geheim leven als sekswerker onder het pseudoniem Sebastian. Hij ontmoet mannen via een escortplatform en gebruikt zijn ervaringen als materiaal voor zijn schrijfwerk. Terwijl zijn dubbelleven steeds riskanter wordt, rijst de vraag: zijn de escapades als Sebastian een manier om aan authentieke verhalen te komen of staat er meer op het spel?
