De wereld van de emotioneel uitgeputte dierenarts Vera staat plotseling op zijn kop door de komst van een nieuwe bewoner in haar dierentuin. De tijger, die in een kooi als huisdier werd gehouden in een ongebruikt zwembad, wekt zorgzame gevoelens in haar op. Geleidelijk aan komen we meer te weten over Vera’s verleden en huwelijk, totdat de ontsnapping van de grote katachtige tot een spannende ontknoping leidt.
