Jim Carroll is lid van het basketbalteam van een katholieke school in New York. Jim en zijn vrienden gedragen zich echter nauwelijks als vrome jongeren. De manager van het basketbalteam steelt uit de kastjes van de opponenten en het favoriete tijdverdrijf van de jongens is het experimenteren met pillen.
