In het Hollywood van de jaren tachtig wil actiester Johnny Cage een topacteur worden. Maar wanneer zijn tegenspeelster, Jennifer, vermist wordt op de set, komt Johnny terecht in een wereld vol schaduwen, gevaar en bedrog.
