De aan een rolstoel gekluisterde Monte Wildhorn was altijd een schrijver maar geeft nu de voorkeur aan de fles en leeft een teruggetrokken bestaan. Dus het onderhouden van een zomerhuisje aan een meer zou iets kunnen zijn wat in zijn straatje past. Hij krijgt echter meer dan hij gehoopt had.
Nee, helaas is The Magic of Belle Isle nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
