Deze biopic beschrijft het leven van de beroemde moslimgeleerde Buya Hamka. En dit van zijn nederige afkomst uit West-Sumatra tot zijn politieke prestaties. Voordat Hamka een figuur werd die bij veel mensen bekend is, heeft hij verschillende veranderingen doorgemaakt, van zijn kindertijd en adolescentie tot het stichten van een gezin.
Nee, helaas is Buya Hamka nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
