Het inheemse Ayoreo-Totobiegosode-volk woont in het gebied dat wereldwijd de grootste ontbossing kent. Nadat haar dorp is verwoest en haar gemeenschap uiteengevallen, doolt Eami door het woud. Ze is de vogelgod, op zoek naar wie er nog over is. Eami zal buiten het bos moeten gaan wonen, net als de coñone - de ongevoeligen - en maakt haar laatste dwaaltocht. Op haar reis wordt ze door een hagedis, tevens een oude man, vergezeld.
Nee, helaas is Eami nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
