De zestienjarige Lola droomt van studeren in Duitsland. Financiële problemen, het afhaken van een vriendin en de mentale toestand van haar zus Julieta steken stokken in de wielen. Julieta's bipolariteit eist thuis alle aandacht op en haar zorg is prioritair voor de familie. Ondertussen worstelt Lola met haar eigen identiteit en ontluikende seksualiteit.
