Zoals elk jaar stuurt de school van Los Pinos, een prestigieuze school van het confessionele type, haar studenten op retraite naar het platteland. Onder het toeziend oog van leraren en priesters worden de kinderen geleid op de weg van hun lichamelijke en morele ontwikkeling. Door de blik van verschillende tieners uit de midden- en hogere klasse laat de film zien hoe hun opvoeding de toekomst van de samenleving zelf beïnvloedt.
