Lucas leeft met zijn broer Tom in een vervallen woning. Wanneer hun moeder komt te overlijden, trekt Lucas regelmatig naar het nabijgelegen bos waar hij troost vindt. Op een dag stuit hij op een heks met wie hij een zekere verstandhouding heeft. Maar de heks is niet vies van geweld en Lucas kan niet blijven toezien op het bloedvergieten. Intussen begint het meisje Anna een relatie met Tom en raakt ze bezorgd over diens broer.
