Haar hele leven heeft Isabella geloofd dat haar moeder drie mensen op brute wijze vermoord heeft omdat ze krankzinnig was. Nadat haar verteld wordt dat de moorden plaatsgevonden hebben tijdens een exorcisme gaat ze op zoek naar de waarheid. Terwijl haar ervaringen in Italie worden vastgelegd door een filmploeg raakt ze betrokken bij een reeks van illegale exorcisme.
