Na een mislukt huwelijk besluit een vrouw zowel haar bestaan als huisvrouw als de grote stad achter zich te laten. Samen met haar dochtertje vestigt ze zich op het Australische platteland waar ze eindelijk rust vindt en zichzelf beter leert kennen.
