De oudere vrouw Abuela is oma in een grote familie. Ze wordt verliefd op de veel jongere tuinman Julio en besluit met hem te trouwen. Op de avond voor haar bruiloft komen twee totaal verschillende families samen voor een weekend vol leugens, drama en botsende culturen.
