Plot

De losbandige Joe Powell loopt weg uit zijn kleine stadje in Arkansas om Hollywood te bezoeken. Nadat zijn zus Carrie Powell daar ook naartoe gaat, volgen hun vader, moeder en jongere zus hen al snel. Zodra het gezin wordt herenigd in Hollywood, komen ze er geleidelijk aan achter dat het een geweldige plek is om te wonen.
