Nadat een moeder haar man en zoon na een ongeluk verliest, besluit ze met haar andere zoon te verhuizen. Billy voelt zich eenzaam tot hij bij het circus een verwaarloosde pony tegenkomt. Hij neemt haar mee naar huis en ze blijkt zwanger te zijn....van een eenhoorn.
