The St. Albert's Teaching Hospital wordt gezien als één van de slechtste ziekenhuizen in het volksgezondheidssysteem en het wordt beheerd door de corrupte Dr. Cyrill Kipp. Het ziekenhuis ontvangt een nieuwe groep assistenten, waaronder: de onhandige Mike Bonnert, die door zijn ouders gedwongen is medicijnen te studeren; Dale Dodd, die enkel mooie vrouwen wil ontmoeten, en Mitzi Cole, die als stipper werkt om haar opleiding te betalen. Onder leiding van Sarah Calder, leert de groep een goede arts te worden in een zeer verwarrende omgeving.
