De jonge Japanse Yoko trekt met haar crew naar Oezbekistan om er een nieuwe aflevering van haar reisprogramma te filmen. Yoko is erg in zichzelf gekeerd en behoedzaam, in tegenstelling tot haar generatiegenoten. De culturele en persoonlijke ervaringen die Yoko in het buitenland opdoet zullen haar persoonlijkheid en haar kijk op het leven grondig veranderen.
