In deze documentaire is te zien hoe Lek Chailert een redster van olifanten werd. Ze groeide op in Thailand, in een familie die geld verdiende met olifanten. Lek had geen goed gevoel over de behandeling van de olifanten en besloot deze dieren te redden. Hiervoor moest ze veel inleveren: haar familie brak met haar en gedurende de vele jaren die volgden werd ze meerdere keren bedreigd voor haar inzet voor de Aziatische olifant.
Nee, helaas is Love & Bananas: An Elephant Story nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
